A nice hotel by the sea"
This was our first visit at this luxury hotel.
When we came we got help with free upgrade, after a misunderstanding with the room that we had booked on Booking. We got upgraded from "Standard room" to "Executive suit"
The room was very spacious and had everything we needed.
All the staff was very helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was outstanding, with a lot of food options. So was dinner at the hotel's restaurant.
And we got good help with our food allergies every time we had a meal at the hotel.
It`s a perfect location if you want to be near the Marine Drive. And it`s also nearby Gateway of India and Colaba street.

We loved absolutely everything about Astoria Hotel. We visit Mumbai a few times every year and we have tried all the big and fancy names who charge you an arm in a leg only to leave you disappointed. But Astoria was an exceptional experience, where you get the best value for money and where every person is genuinely interested in you having a very pleasant experience. The location is outstanding and minutes walk to the famous Marine Drive, which we made a point to walk every evening when we were there. A special mention for Giriraj Singh in housekeeping who looked after the rooms very well, but at the same time everyone from the doorman to the staff in the reception and those serving in the restaurant were fantastic!

I booked there because it is right next to cricket stadium where I was going to watch a test match. It was very convenient. But I found the place excellent. The staff was very obliging and friendly. The rooms were modest but they were also modestly priced and they were just what I was expecting. Excellent breakfast. Close to station and dining options.
