We were quite surprised and absolutely impressed that the hotel owner actually walked from the hotel to the bus stop to greet us. Prior to our arrival from Amalfi he texted to ensure we were on the correct bus and that we got off at the correct stop. He walked us back to the hotel and straight to our room. The room was large and very clean, had the usual amenities, and included a balcony where we could see the activities in the small town square. We believe it was the family patriarch that looked for us the next morning as we sat on a local bench near the hotel just taking in the morning. He invited us to the dining room behind the hotel for a wonderful breakfast that included entirely too much food for two of us.

Beautiful and clean property that was well taken care of and comfortable for 2. It was right by the entrance to the path of the Gods as well as super close to anything else we could need in the town square. Rita was a very friendly and helpful host and made sure we were well taken care of.

the room was perfect for a family with 2 teenagers. great view, nice terrace on the pool; water was a little cold, but I expected that in March :)
breakfast was great, dinner served at restaurant too. nice hotel bar ... and other places to eat within walking distance.
train station conveniently placed for trips to Sorrento, Pompeii or Napoli (local line Circumvesuviana).
last but not least, personell very kind and helpful.
... and price (in March) was reasonable.

My second stay at Baia D’Amalfi with the lovely owner, Maddalena. I specifically came back to spend more time at this hotel on the Amalfi coast. It could not be more central, looking directly onto the water. A two minute walk to the pier complete with a sitting area on a balcony with tables and an ocean view. Pick up some supplies from the local shops and enjoy a bottle of wine here for a fraction of the cost and with much more privacy than eating in the middle of town. Maddalena makes sure you have her number if there is anything you need and gives the best recommendations. I checked out at 10am on my final day but my flight wasn’t until 10pm and she graciously let me charge my phone and refresh in the lobby after parasailing. She is just the sweetest and works so hard to make your stay the best. A small note is that it is on the 3rd floor with no elevator and North Americans - please don’t expect the Ritz in the middle of NYC! This is a historic building on a historic coastline and the eccentricities and quirks of the hotel reflect that, just as one would hope when coming on such a holiday. It feels like such a rich part of the culture and coastline. The air con was fabulous, the location divine, and I caught the most amazing view of the super moon above Amalfi from my room. Again, this is my second time at this hotel and for good reason, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else and my only fear writing this review is that it will become so popular it will be hard to get a room here for what has now become my annual Amalfi trip. Thank you Maddalena!!

Anna, Pietro and Raffaele (and their cute dog) go above and beyond as hosts and exceeded my expectations of what a B&B can offer. The fresh breakfasts with ingredients from the garden, endless cappuccinos on the terrace, and packed lunches were not expected but much appreciated. Anna also provided good recommendations for restaurants (walkable or with free transport) and reasonably priced boat excursions. The bed was very comfortable and the service was immaculate. This is not a corporate / modern hotel facility but instead felt like I was staying with family which was honestly better :)
