Visiting Verona for work at a theatre festival, I needed a functional base, that wouldn't break the budget. Verona is not the cheapest place to stay, so compromising on location was the easiest way to keep costs reasonable. And I wanted somewhere to cook and to work. This more than satisfied all those requirements. It's a comfortable apartment with everything you need to live as though at home.
For those who are driving, there's a car parking area close by (I've no idea what the conditions are as I was on public transport). It's about 50 minutes walk into town, but there are very regular buses from just across the road, easily available scooters and bikes (bring a helmet to be legal) and a taxi costs around 20 euros.
There's not a lot of shopping very close by, but plenty within a decent walking distance. It's nice too to be in a normal residential area with people and everyday sounds. And the adjacent church is spectacular.
Set in Verona’s centre, just 350 metres from the Verona Arena, Hotel Accademia offers air-conditioned rooms in a convenient location. Free WiFi is available throughout.
