Beautiful traditional style tatami suite with a king size bed. Glorious garden view and private onsen. Staff were amazing. There was a mix up with dinner but they apologised profoundly and refunded us a substantial amount for the dinner. The traditional Japanese breakfast more than made up for it.

Designed by Shinji Kagawa, the stylish AKARI et KAORI formerly Taizanso is a 10-minute drive from Shuzenji Train Station.

Excellent staff service from the moment of arriving, as they helped us with the luggage, to the dining experience. Great food breakfast and dinner half board, sumptuous meal, super full after it, and very cheerful staff. Rooms felt bespoke and beautiful appointments throughout. Highly recommended.

Registered as a cultural property, Arai Ryokan features natural hot-spring baths and traditional Japanese architecture just a 5-minute walk from Shuzenji Temple.

Beautiful Ryokan in a lovely little town. Our stay could not have been better and we highly appreciated how accommodating and welcoming they were to foreigners and babies.

Japanese-style hotel 湯回廊菊屋 is a 6-minute drive from Shuzenji Station in Izu City. It features indoor and outdoor hot spring baths, as well as a restaurant. Free parking is available.

The private bath in the room was amazing and we used it many times during our short one-night stay. The facility was huge with sprawling, beautiful forest views and even a koi pond! There were many free refreshments provided during our stay like alcoholic / soft drinks, tea / coffee in a dedicated room open all times, ice cream, ramen, etc.

Such a unique place. Enjoyed finally having some comfy couches to relax in! Very well fitted out with absolutely everything you could need. Centrally located to all the sights. This would be a great place for a group of people as there is so much seating and even two kitchens. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful stay at Goyokan! The staff were so kind and the baths were beautiful and relaxing. Both the dinner and breakfast were delicious, and one of the staff members even played the koto before dinner which was a pleasant surprise! It was also located right in the centre of Shuzenji making it very easy to access all the sights in town.

It was my first visit & hopefully not the last. The staff made me very welcome & the facilities were superb.

Very comfortable stay in Marukyu Ryokan. Very beautiful ryokan in a quiet town to enjoy our holiday. The food is very yummy that definitely worth a try. The dyson hair dryer at the onsen changing room is definitely a plus haha..
