Owner is amazing and lovely! His English is great and he is so generous. He helped me carry my 20 kg suitcase up the stairs to my bed. The facilities are great and it's very comfortable to have women only areas. Would definitely come again if I'm ever back to kyoto

The place is authentic and absolutely gorgeous. An old Japanese house which is very well kept. We could enjoy a delicious Japanese breakfast, a tea ceremony in the afternoon and a hot relaxing bath in the evening. It was absolutely perfect, especially considering the very affordable price.

Very helpful stuff that agreed to store our suitcases after check out and helped us with getting taxi to the train station (even helped lifting the heavy suitcase). Very modern room with both western and Japanese elements.

Wonderful stay!! The room was huge and the personal onsen was very relaxing after walking all day. It is about 10 minutes away from the subway and there are many temples and shrines near by. Staff was amazing and always available for help.

The location couldn’t have been better. Close to subway stations and bus routes as well as the Imperial Palace. The microwave, fridge and basic crockery made self catering easy. The size of the rooms left ample space to eat in the room
