The hosts were amazing! We got greeted with some tea as they brought our luggages up and we got to wear yukatas as they performed the tea ceremony. They prepared baths for us and it was all a very pleasant experience. There was a go board in our room and that was fun too. The kind lady also called a taxi for us as we were leaving. Definitely recommend!

One of the highlights of my stay in Kyoto. I had a warm welcome. The rules are explained to me very clearly. I had a personal locker, which was large. The bed was quite comfy too. The facilities are very clean, Owners are great people and good communicators. Please ask them about what to do/see/taste in Kyoto, since they are very knowledgeable about the topic. Will stay again the next time I am in Kyoto.

Our stay here was lovely. The house and rooms are awesome and they have everything you could possibly need. The location is in one of the quieter areas of Kyoto. It is in a lovely residential area. Funaoka is in walking distance and we really enjoyed going to the baths in the evening. The owners were so friendly and helpful! They even offered us a ride to the train station because it was raining. Really outstanding hospitality. When we come to Kyoto again, we would love to stay again!

agoThis is by far the best hotel i have ever stayed at. Beautiful hidden gem The room was spacious and having your own private onsen was amazing. The staff were very kind and helpful. Pros: - hotel looks so pretty and has that traditional Japanese style -Spacious room, clean and looks so neat. -arrival little sweets - you have all the stuff you need in this hotel including makeup removes, facial toners and serum. -private onsen. -beds are super comfortable -staff are helpful and friendly -able to send your luggage to your next destination - 15 mins walk from the station - there are cafes and familymart nearby. Thank you for having us. We had the best time staying at your hotel.

Excellent location, 300m from metro (Kyoto bus w/luggage is a pain) so station is easy. Imperial palace is next door. Silent street. Host is friendly, room is indeed spacious, furnished tastefully. Lots of wall sockets. Microwave, fridge is good to have. Openable window, balcony.

Stayed there for 3 nights in September. The place is really good, they have all what you need, even possible to buy beer and other drinks for a normal shop price. Host is rely nice and helpful, he even prepared the bed for me before the time of check-in because I was sleepy after a late train from Tokyo. I was planning to stay there for a night at first, but I stayed for all my days in Kyoto in this place. Really recommend.

The Rinn was a beautifully appointed wooden one storey house with our bedroom upstairs and lounge, kitchen and bathroom downstairs. The bed was excellent and very comfortable, the location excellent as we walked to Kyotos Imperial Palace and staff were very friendly and helpful. We will certainly return!
