Definitely one of the highlights of my trip! Really able to hit a couple of items off with this in. I love that they have English speaking staff. I'm surprised to meet fellow Filipinos working there. It was such an awesome welcome.
The rooms were amazing and spacious. I slept like a baby with the futon they prepared for me. Ordered a traditional breakfast which did not disappoint. And the private bath really soothed my tired bones after long walks going around Kyoto.
Would definitely stay there again!

The room was very spacious for couple, we had 2 big luggages which can both be opened without blocking any paths. The whole place was clean and new. Staffs were extremely friendly and helpful. Would stay here next time. Location was good too, close to the center and Kyoto station. It’s walking distance to GOJO station, which can take you to some popular spots, but still need to transit if you’re planning to go further.

The bed was very comfortable, the room was spacious and had a tea table and a couch. It even had an area/room for the luggages/wardrobe. the toilet was big- a vanity area, separate toilet, shower and a bathtub tub.We booked a 3 single beds corner room which was very comfortable. Absolutely spacious and well thought of design.
The breakfast was a good variety of western and Asian cuisine, and had fresh salad, and they also served food that’s locally grown/farmed.
Hotel was also environmentally conscious providing refillable stainless water bottles and a water filling station on each floor.
The bath products provided were also organic and gentle on the skin and hair.
The location was perfect! It is right next to Takashimaya and approx 70 meters away from the main crossing. It’s on the quieter side of the busy area.
There is a small grocery on the ground floor selling local and home grown food, and many organic fruits and veggies.
The hotel also has a few restaurants. We were only able to try Roku- a ramen place and we really liked it. The patisserie in the hotel was always full- many locals also go there for dessert/tea time.
Across the hotel is a famous gyoza place called Chao Chao which always had a long queue.
This is the best hotel I’ve stayed in Japan! I’ve been to Japan many times and I highly recommend this if you’re going to Kyoto and want to be centrally located.
I will stay in this hotel again when I go back to Kyoto.
The staff are very helpful, warm and friendly. They helped me in making a reservation for the airport bus from Kyoto to Kansai airport in Osaka. They also booked a van taxi for us since there were 3 of us with luggages.

The property has much bigger rooms than you find in Japanese hotels. It can easily fit a couple and both of them can open their suitcases comfortably. The room design is good. The hand wash area is separated from the bathing area/toilet. The property is located in a quiet area but a 5-6 minutes walk and you can reach Kawaramachi which is the main shopping area with loads of options to eat, shop. The temples are not far away from this place. Gion which is the Geisha district is just a kilometre walk. Staff is excellent and very very helpful. Whenever I’ll be back to Kyoto, for sure I’ll stay at this place.

The staff is very friendly and speaks english. The room was small as expected but everything is very well organized and enough for 2 people with 2 luggages. It was clean, there are a lot of amenities on the lobby. The free coffee of the machine in the lobby was very tasty.
The hotel has a good vibe, the sake degustation is a good idea. I didn’t taste the breakfast but it seems complete. There are a lot of options for bars and restaurants in the area.
