Modern facilities while keeping traditional japanese decor with tatami mats. Comfortable beds/futon.
Had fun with wearing yukatas in the premises, also for dinner and breakfast.
Lovely traditional multi course dinner! Simple nutritious breakfast as well.
We had a party with a nut allergy and they took it seriously with substitutions for some items on the dinner menu.
Our private onsen in the room was great as well, perfect temperature with a nice little view of Lake biwako. Some of us also enjoyed the public bath.
All staff were amazing, from the receptionist, to the waitresses and the driver. All of us felt we were very well taken care of despite only staying one night.

We had a wonderful time at Yuzanso! The hotel is a bit isolated, so for us, it was a very welcomed escape from the city noise. The staff were incredibly nice and friendly. The facilities were great - we tried the public baths and the private outdoor bath, both very relaxing. We had a huge room with an amazing view of the lake Biwa. Delicious and very filling breakfast, but the best part was the dinner - so much attention to detail, a beautiful presentation, and delicious food - It was incredible. I would definitely recommend this place for those who are looking for a tranquil and relaxing japanese experience.

everything was perfect, how they welcome you and explain the facilities, everyone was very kind and accomodating (my friend is vegetarian and they change the menu accordingly) the food was delicious, the room was clean, spacious and the futon super comfy.
With an additional charge (but totally worth it) it's possible to use the near hotel's baths, that have open air baths at different floor (the 8th and 11th are amazing!)
I would totally come back if I can.
Thanks so much for an amazing experience!

Very friendly staff, delicious food and great Onsen. The village of Ohara is very calm and perfect for a small hike, temple visiting and chill.
It's very easy to get to (direct bus number 17 from Kioto station).
