I had an unforgettable stay at Biwako Hanakaido. The view of Biwa Lake is simply spectacular, creating a serene and picturesque setting for a relaxing getaway. It was very nice. Rooms were extremely spacious. Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Onsen in the adjacent hotel is excellent and worth visiting, for a small fee.

breakfast was delicious and you can enjoy it with the unique garden view and music in traditional japan culture. The location is convenient, and lots of good restaurant nearby. Though the bathroom is shared in the ground floor (one of my concern before the trip), it turns out to be easy to use with clean condition and convenient arrangement. Everything is god for a relaxing stay and we can enjoy very traditional culture and facility. Since it is not a modern facility, if you wish to do computer work in the hotel room, you may find not the right place. It is perfect for me, even in a business trip since I did not arrange any paper work in the stay of the hotel.

We had an amazing time at Yumoto Onsen. It was our first time staying at a Ryokan and we were a bit nervous about following the correct procedures and being respect. However we need not have worried as the staff explained everything to us. The baths were very relaxing with glimpses of the neighbouring forest. The dinner and breakfast was delicious, and the tables overlook the beautiful garden which is home to the very cute Shibu Inu, Taro!
