Everything here was just amazing. When we first checked in, they made the mistake of assigning us to the room where other people were already in. But as soon as they realised they made the mistake, they quickly assigned us to another room and even offered us free drinks. The dinner was fantastic, and we were all very satisfied and full after dinner. There were three different onsens that I could enjoy during the stay. Both open-air onsens were beautiful and possibly one of the best onsens I've been to. The breakfast was also amazing!

The on balcony onsen was amazing. As a couple with tattoos we couldn't use the main baths but this was perfect. Used it in the evening after dinner and then again in the morning watching the sun come up. The room was large and comfortable. The food was excellent.

Everything - the private onsen in the room was lovely and the public onsen was amazing- there wasn’t anyone else around so was incredible. Food was also amazing.

We loved our stay at hotel koo. It was the perfect combination between japanese traditional house and modern scandinave touch. We felt so at peace in this room, a perfect moment of relaxation. Beautiful ryokan in a lovely place.Ohara and the valley is peaceful and charming. The staff were very helpful and kind and the dinner and breakfast delicious. Fell in love with their dog ♥️Just an hour bus ride from central Kyoto. Go if you can! We hope to be back one day...
