Exceptional. There was service disruption of Shinkansen and I updated hotel that I’d be arriving late at night. They were very accommodative and helpful, making sure that I had no problem reaching the hotel. Good and detailed information were also shared to ease my travel plan around the vicinity. The property is new, spotlessly clean, room is big. The breakfast was delicious and not to be missed. Thank you Mayumi san and colleagues for being a great host during my stay. Glad that I booked this hotel for my stay at Takayama.

The Ryokan was exceptional. All the staff were welcoming and friendly. The room (the one with the semi open air bath) is astonishing. The kaiseki dinner was excellent and the sushi bar too.

I highly recommend Tabino Shiori when you are visiting Takayama. We stayed here during the autumn festival in Takayama. The location is fantastic, super close to the shrine and all the festival events and markets. It is in the middle of all the traditional houses and streets and the house itself is super beautiful as well.
The hosts are truly amazing people. They are so friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home. They also provided the option to have a traditional diner upon arrival the first day. We did this and have no regrets. It was delicious and a fun experience.
The house was also very clean, there was a small kitchen and a very nice modern bathroom. I will definitely stay here again!
