The staff where unbelievablely kind. I let the lady at front desk know that we got engaged and she gave us a welcome cake and when we were checking out even gave us a hand written card! When we ate at one of the restaurants the staff even took a photo for us and printed it. Honestly they made our stay super magical, and that's not even considering the garden which is out of this world!

We loved this property and location so much we cancelled another hotel we had at the end of our holiday and came back to the Richmond. Great location, close to several subways so easy to get anywhere, loved the Don Quixote underneath the hotel for everything you would ever need. Loved heading over to the Tokyo Dome at the end of the day for many food options and a lovely outdoor area, with some fun rides to go on. Great location for families (we booked two double rooms) as also super quiet and comfortable to put your feet up after a busy day walking.

Fantastic small hotel in the heart of one of Tokyo's most amazing areas – Yanaka. We were fortunate to stay on the 5th floor, where we enjoyed stunning sunrises every morning and, in the evening, the Tokyo Skytree illuminated with colourful lights. The staff was excellent and incredibly helpful, especially when we needed assistance transferring our luggage to Kyoto. Nearby, there's a laundromat, convenience stores, cafés, traditional restaurants, wine bars, craft and art shops, and, of course, a metro station. Yanaka truly stole our hearts! It's one of Tokyo's oldest areas, rich in history and character, yet away from the bustling crowds.

We loved this hotel, only stayed one night before we flew out, but didn't want to leave. It's like a time capsule from the 50's. Big beautiful.tatami rooms, incredible reception and lounge area, fantastic original art and furnishings. Staff super friendly, and lovely touches like free filtered coffee in reception and an inhouse postbox to send free postcards back home. Will definitely return, a lovely experience of well preserved old Tokyo hotel charm

Staff was very friendly and ready to help 24/7. They even lent me a shoe dryer after the rain! You get free amenities and also coffee/tea from the lobby. It's located in a great area, close to public transport. We also had breakfast there which was really tasty. And if you're up for a late night snack you have to convenience stores close by. The room was quite small, but that's on us as we booked it that way. Very clean and nice looking. Overall great experience!
