if you're looking for a very comfortable hostel, this is it!!
the bunk beds (12 people) were very comfortable, everyone has a shelf next to their bed box as well as a locker (big suitcases won't fit). you might think it gets very noisy in such a big dorm, but it was fine!!
the shared bathrooms were clean and nice too, i looked forward to showering there after a sweaty day haha. despite every facility being a shared space, you have lots of privacy.
the community room (?) was really comfortable and spacious with sofas and fatboys and a kitchen, it's great for working from there. there's a terrace too which i recommend spending time at at night!
and lastly, the breakfast/restaurant was amazing, you can choose from a menu every morning and they will prepare a delicious meal for you.
all in all felt like a pretty luxurious hostel :)

I love everything at Cao Ji Book Inn Hostel. The first impression is the entrance of the hostel it decorated by a bookshelf in hallway. Staff was super friendly and helpful. I met staff who has a limited English speaking but it was not a problem at all. She was shown me around the hostel and answered my question about the route bus to Anping from the hostel. The bed is comfy and sharing space always clean. The location is great. You can walk to museum, the confusion temple and old shopping street in 5-10 mins. There was Ubike station which is nearby the hostel. Please do not forget to grab Ubike to biking around Tainan. Hostel also provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash, body lotion and hair dryer at sharing bathroom. But you need to bring toothbrush and toothpaste by yourself. I definitely to stay here again if I back to Tainan.

I dont think i have ever encountered such a nice place for this price. The host was incredibily sweet and it was even possible to text them for questions. The interior is very artistic and pretty, the rooms were spaceous!

Very nice place to stay with lovely staff. We had a massive room and there was a washing machine in the King Suite that was quite useful to do laundry, however a clothesline to hang clothes would have been appreciated. The room is very clean and comfortable.
There is a luggage storage facility which is great and easy to use. We had an issue with the room key not working at the entrance and they were very responsive on Line. There’s a little plastic door on the card reader and you’re supposed to open it even though sometimes it works fine without opening it.
The wifi is very good, we were working remotely and had video calls and had no connection issues.
Highly recommend Chapter 127 for anyone who needs a place to stay in Tainan.

Location is really good, Ubike stop nearby so you can easily rent a bike and go to West Central district where there are many food options.
