Great location, incredibly quiet. Lovely room with very comfortable beds. The lady on reception was really helpful, sorting us out with an appropriate room, I booked at the last minute. Fabulous atmosphere, really felt at home and comfortable. Everywhere was clean and tidy. The rainwater tap was an added bonus.

I came here for a nature retreat with a lot of birds and my goodness did I find it! This is a magical place - rifle birds at breakfast (literally) and wonderful walks in the neighbourhood and rainforest paths. The house itself is a piece of rainforest history as it was the house where the famous bird artist Bill Cooper lived and did his paintings. There is even a bedroom where David Attenborough used to stay.. Dan was a really great guide and took us on a nocturnal tour looking for possums and other night wildlife. It did rain a bit so bring a raincoat. The room itself was great and super quiet, and the kitchen was fantastically well equipped (this is a place where you bring your own food because there is no restaurant at the lodge or in the nearby village. But plan ahead and this will be a visit to remember.

Absolutely amazing home, child friendly and beautiful views of the lake. The kids caught multiple fish from our own private jetty. The communication from the owners would be the best I have ever experienced !!!! We will definitely stay again.

What an absolutely beautiful and breathtaking place. Everything was wonderful, but my husband and I particularly loved the sounds of the rainforest, breathing the fresh clean air and hand feeding so many varieties of birds on our balcony. Feeding the possum family on our balcony was a highlight for me.

Beautiful location. We were lucky to see a baby cassowary on the track to our tiny home. Little visits from the scrub turkeys & tree kangaroos were lovely too. Being able to disconnect from the outside world made for a very relaxing get away. Daniel & the other staff members we met were extremely helpful with tips & directions for making our way around to explore the beautiful rainforest of the property.

Right in the heart of some stunning rainforest. What a fantastic way to relax in the trees, disconnect from your tech and reconnect with the environment. The staff super helpful and knowledgeable. Even saw cassowary’s on site with a baby chick. Would highly recommend!

Really enjoyed our 2 night stay here. It was super relaxing and provided a great space to recharge. All the amenities were great, and Daniel was very receptive to any questions we had, and also lent us a torch for night time walks (was cool to see the bioluminescent fungi). We loved waking up to the sounds of the rainforest and seeing the Victoria riflebird so upclose!

This place is AMAZING! You really are staying in the middle of the rainforest and its a magical ambience. We could watch the Platypus in the river from the balcony of our cottage. Saw more wildlife here than on all the other rainforest visits combined - Platypus, Cassowaries, Pandemelons, loads of birds. The kids especially loved feeding the turtles down by the river. Walking around in the reserve in rubber boots looking for animals. Completely worth the trip.

Walking tracks on the property let us see many species of animals at the sanctuary - highlights were the cassowary, turtles and platypus. Bird and turtle feed were provided and it was so much fun feeding the animals! The property was also amazingly spotless with modern amenities (consistent hot water, heating / cooling, fully functioning and equipped kitchen, even had olive oil and salt / pepper provided) and our host Nature was so friendly and knowledgable.
