The host was truly wonderful – very kind, thoughtful, and genuinely welcoming. The house is beautifu and clean. Her dog is also incredibly friendly. We and our dog had a fantastic stay. The bed is very comfortable, and the breakfast is delicious. This stay was one of the highlights of our trip. Thanks for the great recommendations on places to visit – we really enjoyed them as well. She is a truly respectable and inspiring senior who deserves to be treated with the same sincerity and kindness she shows to her guests. The cleanliness; the huge comfortable well bedroom with excellent linen and good quality towels. The warm, friendly staff; the location right by the old town! A lot of people have criticised the buffet beeakfast and decor, but the buffet breakfast is constantly refreshed during the service and the receptionist is right next door if anything runs out or if any clients need a hand. No one need fear going hungry! The decor is a little somber, but well maintained and spotlessly clean!

Breakfast was great. We had local, organic products and homemade bread. We really enjoyed the evening meal and the conversation with Luc in which we learnt about the area. The bus and train were handy for trips further afield and we enjoyed a walk in the neighbourhood too.

A good location for a relaxing holiday in Saint-Ursanne, La Joux Chaupe is an apartment surrounded by views of the garden.

We spent a wonderful Easter weekend here and thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. There was a lot of snow in the area when we first arrived but the house was lovely and warm. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen contained everything we needed supplied (good quality items as well). We were able to BBQ a couple of meals and sit outside to enjoy them. We also immensely enjoyed the table a'hôtes offered at the house. The last evening that we were there was clear and it was possible to see lots of stars in the night sky.
