When we arrived we were met by the owners and given a little tour of the property. They were very friendly and provided eggs from their chickens. The property is historic and as such has interesting features inside and out. It is located in beautiful area, close to the train station and with easy access to shops. We used it as a base to visit the Aletsch Glacier, travelling a part of the Glacier Express train route to Fiesch and Goms Bridge. We also went to the Thermalbad in Brigerbad, which the kids loved.

Our friendly and elegant hotel has been run by our family since 3 generations and apart from tastefully furnished rooms and a fine restaurant offers you inviting wellness facilities.

Great room, wonderful restaurant and staff were helpful and friendly. Highly recommend. Easy walk from the train station. Comfy room, great shower and had shampoo, soap etc. Lovely meal downstairs, it’s a proper restaurant that people travel to, not just guests at the hotel.

Excellent hotel. Conveniently located near the train station. Very clean and modern decor. Excellent service. Sabrina at the front desk was very nice to upgrade our room at no additional cost. Easy check in and check out. Will definitely stay here again if we visit the area again.

I arrived at the Riederalp Mitte cable car station and it was a 2 minute walk to B&B Zurschmitten. My studio apartment was spacious, clean, and looked to be newly renovated, with a good kitchen space with cooktop and microwave. The Coop was close by. The views from the balcony were wonderful, looking over to the mountains on the other side of the valley. I spent a very comfortable 3 nights here, enjoying the walk trails and visiting the viewpoints over Aletsch Glacier. The people I talked to when I checked in and out, and who served breakfast in the restaurant were all very friendly. The price was very good and I would highly recommend a stay here!
