Family hotels and homes in Chaitén

The hotel is much nicer than in the pictures. The location at the lake is very impressive. The hotel has a great -almost Alpine- vibe. The fish in the restaurants comes from the lake itself and they catch it themselves. But what I liked most was the staff: very professional and cool at the same time. That’s especially true for the young woman at breakfast and dinner.

Lovely place and wonderful people. They went out of their way to help me and make certain that I was comfortable. I was offered a delicious meal at their warm cozy restaurant and then was escorted safely to my room as it was then dark and impossible to see. The room was elegant and quiet. I was taking the ferry the next day and it was only a few minutes on their quiet road. I would highly recommend a stay here; it is close to the center and ferry but far enough away to be quiet. Parking is not visible from the road and felt very secure. The tiny restaurant was intimate, warm and inviting after a long day of travel. The host was delightful and with my limited Spanish helped with English and made everything much easier for me.

To be honest everything. The hotel's facilities and the staff's hospitality made our stay incredibly smooth. We left sad but grateful after such a great time in Chaiten.
