Welcoming and friendly staff who cooked breakfast and dinner as we like it. The secluded location off the beaten track. As we were early in the season, we had the whole resort for ourselves (the staff left during the day and the night, which felt a bit strange during the first night as we wondered whether we were safe).

We had a wonderful time and stayed longer although it was raining because all the staff, especially Ines were exceptionally friendly and helpful. And the food was always delicious.

We loved our stay at las Estrellas!!! Great amazing views from our room. Beautiful sunset. Nice pool. Great deck with a nice breeze. Nathan is an excellent host and great cook! Breakfast was a lovely surprise everymorning. For sure we will come back when visiting Samara! This is the best example of a homestay! Cora opened her home for us, two tired parents with young children - and after travelling Costa Rica for a month, she took such good care of us and stepped in as grandmother for a moment. Her granddaughters also were so sweet and played with our sons. Cora makes the best breakfast we have ever had (!) but also made delicious dinner one night and went with us to the beach one day. The house is beautiful and the garden as well. Highly recommended!

The host (Arnaud) is a great person and his team is very attentive! We felt immediately at home in this charming and cosy place. Our Bungalow in the middle of the forest had everything we needed and more. It was the biggest and most comfy bed we've slept in during our time in Costa Rica. Everything was clean and worked well. The breakfast was delicious. We loved the pool, in the middle of a huge garden. It was a charming stay and we would have loved to stay longer!

The staff were very warm and welcoming. Felt like a family. They clearly take a ton of pride in their work. And they work very hard to make the stay memorable. The location is so good. 5 minute drive from Samara town. 1 minute drive to Carillo beach. 2 minute walk down a dirt road to the ocean, at the furthermost corner of Samara beach. The food at the hotel is good, the drinks are excellent. The pool is ideal for young kids. Several good sodas nearby, and other restaurants for pizza, falafel, pasta, etc. Howler monkeys in the trees in the morning. Geckos for the kids to chase at night. We plan to come back again for a longer stay (this time was 6 nights).
