beautiful location! the room was also beautiful and suited us well with two young children. Staff was great, breakfast good and the pool area as well. Would stay there again for sure!

Great Location near Lake Arenal. Joanne and Simon are the perfect hosts; during our stay they were always helpful and found answers to any question. We became friends! They proposed best-fit daytrips that fit best with our interest: a cozy Hot Springs Spa resort, a Hanging Bridge tour and a horse back ride. Ahead phone calls were offered to secure availability. The house restaurant was temporarily closed as the cook had just left. Manuel, owner of a small restaurant next door (25m) offered excellent local food and hosted us every night. Best comes last: the home-made breakfast with fruit of the season, fresh juices and home made bread and cake! WOW!!!

The breakfast was lovely and different each morning. It was so fresh with plenty of fruit and lovely coconut bread. It was lovely to have breakfast and watch the birds enjoying the fruit that is put out for them each morning. We also had dinner each evening and the menu was so varied and very international. Eyal is a fantastic host, he is a big character and is so welcoming to all guests. The food was absolutely incredible and we ate in each evening as we did not want to go out and miss his wonderful food. Truly outstanding flavours and quality. Such a beautiful setting. Our room was the jungle room and we loved the jungle theme decoration. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was great. We had a really good balcony overlooking the lake.

Excellent breakfast with an amazing vieuw on the garden. Very helpfull and friendly host Marita and Alberto. So helpfull to show and give information about possibillitys in the area. It's a very nice place to stay!!

The hotel is in the middle of the forest. The view from our room was spectacular and thanks to te howler monkeys nearby we get up just in time to see the sunrise behind the volcano which was magical. I loved all the nature noises evening and the mornings. They has a nice garden with bird feeders, we saw there a lot of birds, including hummingbirds. Breakfast was nice.

I will definitely be staying there again! Everything was wonderful including the staff…

Wonderful place great location

The minute that we entered the reception area we were greeted by the kindest sweetest staff ever !! It was truly amazing from beginning to end !! My friend was visiting from Canada and sadly needs a wheelchair to get around , I honestly could not believe how helpful and warm and kind everyone was ! The help we received regarding the wheelchair situation was top notch !!! When I say top notch I really mean it ! Our room was perfect as it was also wheelchair accessible!!! I was so worried if I was ever going to find a way to show my friend the Volcano while she was here , it was on the top of her list and if it where not for everyone at the Manoa Resort I don't think we could have done it ! Then let's talk about the spa " WOW " that's the only way to describe it ! We both had massages that sent us straight to heaven !!!! We were so relaxed we could barley keep our eyes open but we knew we had to get into the Mineral Springs lol well after that we ate a fabulous late lunch in the Springs area and ended up falling asleep at the table because we were so relaxed !!! I was so embarrassed hahaha ! I hope no one was looking lol ! Best Margiritas ever !!! I don't think either of us has ever had such an amazing sleep that night !!! Excellent breakfast buffet / everything you could ever want!!!! We had a perfect view of the Volcano from our room !!! We were only planning on staying 4 nights but because we just couldn't bring ourselves to pack our bags so we decided to stay another night !! Hahaha ! Then the most amazing gift came along , it was the Manager of the Lodge who was absolutely lovely in every way ! She was very pleased to hear we were staying another night and then she said she had been trying to make contact with us all day ? I'm thinking hummm , I couldn't figure out why ? Was it because we almost fell asleep in our lunches the day before Hahahaha!

The facilities were gorgeous & the pools!! A shuttle always arrived promptly when needed. Breakfast was good! Activities were available & most were close by.
