I came for a wedding at the Shangri La and travelled alone. Gecko resort is perfectly located a short walk to the hotel. They were incredibly welcoming of a female solo traveller and nothing was too much trouble from letting me my room early to letting me keep the room til late for my evening return flight. Clean comfortable rooms - best nights sleep. Evening entertainment and excellent food, drink and cocktails. A little gem if you are touring Fiji make sure you add it to your list.

Super friendly staff, clean rooms, fantastic entertainment, beautiful sunsets and good food! Days with little to no day tourists are an absolute blast, as you virtually have the island to yourself and can hang out with the staff (e.g. at a bonfire). Would recommend to anyone and go back again!
