We originally went to the Relais de l’Abbaye just for its restaurant, having heard it was fantastic—and it truly was! The food was exquisite, the kind that makes you quietly vow to return before dessert even arrives. The staff were wonderfully kind and made everything feel effortless. But the stay turned out to be so much more: I loved visiting the Museum of Silk (and came home with a beautiful piece that still turns heads) and learned fascinating things about medicinal plants at the Hospital Museum of Charlieu. I even bought a book about magic plants just to remember this particular day when life was more than it appeared. A truly fantastic experience from start to finish—can’t wait to go back one day!
