The place was really cute, the grounds were adorable to walk around, staff was really friendly and breakfast was amazing! So many delicious homemade cakes. Would definitely recommend.

Orry and Gaïa are fantastic hosts, very welcoming and friendly. The refuge is lovely and super clean. Walking distance from Gentiâne in case you plan a hike with a donkey. The food is amazing, made with love from local products. We highly recommend the Refuge Des Castagnols!

A friendly welcome, although l was too early to check in. Refreshments and a short wait and I was in. The room was basic, no frills, but as described and adequate for a single night. Dinner and breakfast, extra charge, could be served outside, your choice, but pleasant for August.

We had a lovely comfortable clean room with a window that opened with views over the garden and into the mountains. . It was spacious and good storage for luggage. There is a pleasant garden area for guests to relax in. The reception staff on the day we checked in spoke good English. We reserved a car park which was available when we arrived. Good varied breakfast. The highlight was the dinner in the restaurant. None of the restaurant staff spoke English but this was not a problem as it was a set menu on the night we were there. The food and service was superb and it was not expensive given the quality of the fare.

Quiet country location. Exceptional hosts and good meals provided in the price. Stand alone chalet was a nice change. Great biking roads around the area, also hiking along the Robert Louis Stephenson trail.

Great location. Clean & beautifully decorated, with good orientation for afternoon/evening sunshine with private and comfortable sitting outside areas. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, great beds, good showers, lovely sitting out areas, and jacuzzi an added bonus. The location is very good; Pont de Montvert is a scenic village with basic amenities. Carrefour in Florac is a 15-20 minute drive away and has everything required. The property is private and has a great view across the valley.

This beautiful house was well equipped with everything you could need. Lots of space, stylishly decorated, large comfortable sofas and large comfortable beds. The kitchen was of a very high standard too. Wonderful views out over the valley and Edward was very helpful in his local information. The best place to stay in this delightful and remote part of the Cevennes!
