Lovely old chap Gerard= do anything g for you. Great ramshackle garden., and indeed, house. Not chic and modern at all. Had the feeling of a rural farmhouse tbh. My kinda place. Probably not for fussy types. I was cycling to Paris and it was an ideal location for me - bike safely stored, bath, decent kitchen good size room.pergect

We stayed here after visiting Beauvais Cathedral. it is a really interesting chateau in a very quiet location. From what I was able to understand the owner is Iranian and has recruited Persian speaking Afghans to run the hotel and they did a good job (and spoke good French too). Chaumont-en-Vexin is very quiet in August and we ended up having to drive all the way over to Gisors to find a restaurant that was open for dinner.
