Exactly what we were looking for, an old village pub near Stirling with a few rooms upstairs, a refreshing break from generic “chain” hotels. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and this made for a great experience. Breakfast was freshly made for us each morning, and was delicious. We had dinner there the first night and it was so good we ate there the following nights of our stay as well.

Crannaig house is so nice and sweet, it was our first day in Scotland and that was perfect start of our trip! I liked the house itself and our room. Everything is extremely clean, new, quality linen, big fluffy towels, soaps, cream and shampoo by Scottish natural Highland Soap company. We also got a sweet present, homemade here in Aberfoyle. Please don’t hesitate to have breakfasts and dinner at Crannaig House, because Shaun is excellent cook and everything was so delicious! Also Shaun gave us some suggestions for our rout. Thank you very much and best wishes!

Traveled by motorbike. The approach from either direction is fantastic. My host Moira was welcoming and very easy to chat to. My room was cosy, comfortable bed and great bathroom fully stocked. Lovely teas and biscuits in the room. The views were great. The breakfast was both plentiful and cooked lovely. I believe the host does a lot to make any persons stay enjoyable.

The suite was gorgeous. Beautifully presented and very clean. The little fridge with milk and water provided along with bowl of quick grab breakfast options and fresh fruit was a lovely touch. I’d booked short notice and Liz was so accommodating.

    The cottage was gorgeous, spacious and right beside Nick Nairn's cookery school/restaurant. We enjoyed 2 really lovely meals there. We took our own kayaks and spent much of our day out on the lake. Family came to visit for the day so we had a bit on fun on the tennis courts, a paddle in the lake and a take away pizza from Nick Nairns. An amazing long weekend.

    Beautiful, spacious log cabin containing everything we needed for our stay. Best kitchen facilities I’ve come across in self-catered accommodation. Heating worked great and the shower was nice and warm. Views from the cabin were stunning. Really appreciated all the information that was made available regarding activities / places to visit in the local area! Staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Thanks for the great stay, recommending to all our family and friends!

    Breathtaking views, very family friendly. The log cabin is very clean and comfortable. Good Wi-Fi connection, powerful shower. There are lots to do in the area. Children love the play area on the site. The lake is beautiful, shallow water near the beach and we really enjoyed the rolling boat, saw ospreys catch fish.

    We loved everything about this property! Amazing views, beautiful lodge with everything we needed. Such fabulous staff - nothing was too much trouble. Cot and baby bath both provided for my little one including all linen! Fabulous days out just short drives away but we could have happily have stayed at the lodge for the week. We will definitely be back!
