Superb service in a gem of a hotel - welcoming, courteous and endlessly helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for Natalie and her team. The restaurant is also outstanding, excellent food, and again, excellent service. In every respect this is an exceptional place to stay.

The aesthetic nature of the hotel drew us in right from the start. The room were a comfortable bijou size, enough room to get around while encapsulating the pokey nature of old British buildings. The room was well decorated and well lit. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and the digital clock on the bedside table was a lovely added touch. The soaps in the bathroom were beautiful and very fragrant. There was a safe provided, free of charge, for valuables. This was located in a roomy wardrobe that also included bathrobes, extra pillows, iron and ironing board and a hairdryer. There was an electric heater in the room if needed but we didn't!

Holford Arms was the pest pub experience I have had in the UK. My partner and I chose it on spec before leaving Australia, based on location, price and what we could see from the pix. Beds and brekky were brilliant - 11/10. The hosts, Victoria and Pete, and all of the bar and table staff were so welcoming, attentive and informative. The locals were exceptionally friendly and wow! what stories. The beers were brilliant - it's an independent pub; always a big plus.

It’s a very good place to stay if you’re planning to use it as a base for trips, I used it for a friends wedding at the kingscoate barn . The staff were excellent especially the lady who checked up on me the day after I was not feeling great after an fun night out the night before

We were initially shown to a double bedded room whereas I had booked a twin room and also checked this with the hotel after booking. However the receptionist sorted this out very quickly and we were then given a family room with 2 separate beds instead.

Stayed in a family room - room was big but the double bed seems smaller than our double bed at home. Location is along the high street and near a Coop so very accessible. They also have a nice garden at the back you can enjoy during summer. Breakfast was included. I liked that they have cereals, spreads, juices and coffee available so we don’t need the staff for these when we need them.

The most kind and friendly staff, a beautiful setting, kid-friendly. Lovely rooms and a beautiful building. Bar staff lovely and extremely helpful. Good people who went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Found and returned something I left in the room by accident after check out.
