It's a great little place, just a short walk from the Ferry terminal. Their restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday but there was a complimentary bowl of fruit which was a nice touch. I liked that there was a "residents lounge" which, had I stayed more than one night, I would have definitely used it more. It was quiet, comfortable and a safe place to leave my luggage after checking out for the daytime before I got my bus.

The house was beautiful and clean and a perfect size for our family of 5. It’s in a perfect location, a short drive from Stornaway so close to shops if needed. Surrounding area is beautiful and so peaceful and just a short walk down to the beach.

The house was impeccably clean and extremely well equipped. Despite some mediocre weather outside, the house was warm and cosy and the addition of the hot tub added to the overall feeling of comfort and luxury. Gemma had also left a plentiful supply of hot drink supplies as well as the offer of a wee dram (which Kirsty took advantage of). The secure garden was excellent for our dogs. The fact that there was no additional charge for cleaning or for bringing pets was much appreciated. Gemma also provides a welcome book that has all the information visitors could possibly want, including suggested walks and itineraries for various durations of stay. Overall, we can’t recommend Kinnoull House highly enough.
