Our favourite place we stayed on our trip to Georgia. Beautiful, clean cabin. So peaceful, stunning views over the mountains. Short walk or drive into the town below with some restaurants nearby. Nino and her family (and Charlie too!) were very welcoming and friendly.

The hosts are very welcoming and helpful, they will do everything so you can enjoy your stay,. The facilities are great, you have access to everything you might need.

Nice room in a beautiful house with a cozy garden. Marina is a great host. She made us dinner, booked the minibus to Kutaisi and prepared us early breakfast. Great!1

Everything is really nice, beautiful guest house with really good food. Raul and his nieces are very friendly, had a good stay there.

During our two-week trip to Georgia, our stay in Mestia at Davit's home became one of the most unforgettable highlights. We were completely charmed by the room with the glass ceiling that opened up to the sky, and although the house was a bit outside the main town of Mestia, we decided to stay there — and it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. It made our Mestia experience feel like a dream. We stayed in that room for two nights and were absolutely happy there, whether the weather was clear or rainy. On rainy days, when hiking wasn't an option, we slept in and enjoyed the peaceful view from our bed. On clear nights, we were lucky enough to lie in bed and count countless stars until we fell asleep. The bed was comfortable, and a small heater kept us warm through the cold mountain nights. As an eco-friendly home, we did occasionally spot small insects like ants, but it never felt uncomfortable — the bathroom was also spotless and clean. Before coming to Mestia, we had mostly stayed in hotels, so we hadn’t had many chances to interact with local Georgians. Staying at Davit’s home gave us a much more intimate and meaningful experience. His family was incredibly kind and welcoming — it truly felt like being at home. We were so grateful to have been a small part of a household spanning four generations, even just for a little while. It was a heartwarming and joyful time. I know that whenever I find myself overwhelmed by the busyness of daily life, I will think back to Davit’s home and the peaceful days we spent there. A stay at Davit's place is not just accommodation — it’s an experience of Georgia itself, a beautiful bridge between people and culture. Travelers who value local traditions and approach others with warmth and respect will undoubtedly love it here. A lovely guesthouse with a warm and welcoming host. Although the guesthouse is not directly on the Mestia-Ushguli trek, the owner kindly offered us a ride, which was greatly appreciated. The food was absolutely delicious, and the host was always quick to assist with anything we needed, ensuring we felt comfortable throughout our stay. Definitely worth a visit!

What a gem! The owner Ika is a charming, friendly, welcoming man who really goes the extra mile for his guests. The wooden house is a beauty, with an eye for details (a record player!) and all amenities you need, including a stocked fridge (the nearest grocery shop, at least as far as we know, is a 45’ drive). Moreover you can order dinner and breakfast with the owner, definitely recommended. The view from the terrace is magic. The silence and the freshness of the air is quite unique. You need an SUV to get to the house, but if you get there, you will also manage to drive onwards for another 1h45 min to the upper Svaneti valley with the stunning UNESCO world heritage villages of Ushguli.

I have travelled to 50 countries, but this place was one of the most beautiful spots I have ever been with an incredible view. The staff was extremely friendly. They also run a restaurant with reasonable prices, but as it is in the middle of nowhere, I would also recommend you to take some food with you. There are cows, pigs and horses around and the kids loved it. The huts are cosy.
