The owner helped us to arrange the guide and airport taxi before arrival! When we arrived, my friend was not feeling well so the owner managed to change the duration of the trek and suggest other activities. Also, she managed to extend the stay and we kept the same room (from 1 night to 4 nights). We were pleased with nice food and hospitality like delivering food or tea to our room! Our room was upgraded to the family room which was more accessible from the river. I highly recommend this place!

This is a new place in Bukit Lawang everything was clean. They are building a restaurant, but in the meantime they serve your breakfast at your room. We received a very warm welcome by Andy who was our guide for the jungle trek. He taught us a lot of things about the wild life & was very kind and funny. We saw the orang outans and lots of different animals. We truly recommend this guesthouse and their guides.

Very lovely staff that helped with everything. From arranging the tour into the jungle to making some lovely breakfast and very good smoothies. The room was also perfect with enough room for the 3 people we were with and very clean. The accomodation was also in the middle of the jungle a bit outside of Bukit Lawang what made it a very beautiful surrounding. All in all a perfect accomodation that I would recommend to everyone that thinks about going to Bukit Lawang

Beautifully maintained gardens and incredibly friendly staff at the Travelodge. We opted for a 2 day, 1 night jungle trek to go for orangutan spotting. Our guide Selemat was very supportive and an expert on everything in the jungle. His knowledge and experience meant that we saw 9 orangutan in 2 days when some trekkers didn’t see any! Special shout out to our cook Padly, who treated us to a sensational Indonesian dinner in the middle of the jungle! Terima kasih!

If you want to see orangutans in Bukit Lawang, stop looking, this is the place! The hotel is rustic and beautiful, it is next to the river and the views of the jungle from the bedroom window are incredible! From here we saw orangutans, gibbons, monkeys, langurs, butterflies and birds without having to move. It includes breakfast, and in the restaurant they serve the best curry in town! The staff always attend you with a smile and are willing to help you with whatever you need at all times, we leave with a full heart, thank you very much Pepen, Lina, Inaka, Dani, Rini, Safii, Kolik, Pindo, Ifan and of course Riko (we have a chess match pending, the definition) And if you want to do the tour and enter the national park to explore the wonders of the incredible jungle of Sumatra, well, I must say that here they have the most professional team of all! We spent 3 days and 2 nights in the jungle, with the best guides in Bukit Lawang: Rio and Jerry! They accompany you, teach you and take care of you, they care about protecting the environment and the surroundings, proud of their culture and with a smile all day, attentive to us living one of the best experiences of our entire trip through Southeast Asia. Thanks also to Jill for an amazing dining experience in the middle of the jungle, we never imagined we would eat so well! You have a great team Sean, thank you so much! I did the 2 day/1 night jungle trek with these guys and was extremely satisfied with the experience. The guides are knowledgeable about the local wildlife and are all very friendly. They did their bests to entertain us at the campsite after dinner, and cooked amazing food on the trek. The accommodation and restaurant at cheeky monkeys is excellent as well. I can highly recommend doing your jungle trekking with these guys!

We treated ourself to a more expensive place (for Sumatra) the end of our jungle trek and we didn’t regret it. The food, facilities and room were all incredible! The staff were very welcoming and friendly and made a great relationship with the guests, especially those who stayed longer. Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were happy.
