The staff are amazing. The owner brought the community together for dinner, gave detailed recommendations, joined me for beach walks and so much more. Anna, the manger made incredible food, sang and was so charismatic. I really couldn’t recommend this place any more. The rooms are fantastic, super cozy bed and incredibly peaceful.

The rooms are great and have all the comforts that you will need, for a good price! Antonio and the staff go above and beyond to help you with airport-pickups, motorbike rental, day trip-planning and make sure they have amazing food for dinner and breakfast. The hotel is beautifully designed and in a beautiful area very close to some picturesque beaches. The staff are very friendly and attentive and make it easy to organise trips and activities so you can experience Sumba. Surf lessons are a lot of fun and the village tour and waterfall tour are both great. Cocktails were really good, as was the food at breakfast. The hotel seems to have a good relationship with the local people and seems to have genuinely benefitted Sumba.

We had a wonderful stay — the staff were warm and welcoming, and the authentic food they prepared was the best we had. Surrounded by beautiful views and nature, everything was clean, well-kept, and enhanced by the locally made soaps and products that smelled incredible.
