Moza house We had a lovely stay at the Moza house! First of all, Fajar and his wife make you feel at home immediately. The house is very clean, and had everything we needed and even a very nice outside place with a view, perfect for having breakfast! We got a local breakfast which we enjoyed very much, and if you stay multiple days you will get different kind of breakfasts each day! Fajar showed us the village and its surroundings with the local vegetables and fruit plantages. Fajar also took us to Dieng to show us around, and even further to Nepal van Java and Borobudur and even dropped us off at our next stay in Yogya. We had so much fun having a local as Fajar with us, because this way we learned so much about Java and its religion, its culture, … He arranged that we could try out batik at the Borobudur temple complex for a good price, it was a very nice experience. We highly recommend this stay for everyone who is interested in experiencing this part of Java as a local!

Trevor and Ida are lovely people who treat you like a guest instead of a customer. We had interesting conversations with them, especially with Trevor about his life on Java as a foreigner. They made breakfast according to what we liked (I had oats with fruits, my partner toast, egg and sausage) and even invited us for homemade dinner one evening. The hospitality of Trevor and Ida alone should be enough to convince you to stay at their homestay! If not, we can add that the room itself is comfortable and clean and the western shared bathroom has a shower with hot water, soap and shampoo. The surroundings are beautiful and the homestay is a good base to visit (amongst others) the Dieng plateau. We would definitely recommend this homestay!
