Very friendly hotel. Room was excellent. Had dinner, breakfast and lunch in the hotel. All meals were home cooked, tasty and served piping hot. Staff friendly and helpful.

Located in Ballyhaunis, in a historic building, 11 km from Knock Shrine, 'James Lyons' The old main St is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a garden and terrace.

The host is the most hardworking man I've ever met, very polite, cares about his guests, always comes around to make sure his guests are good, always available, gives you all the information, help and support you need. Very focused, organised, hardworking with a smile on his face. You need anything? He's a call away. The hotel has everything to make you feel at home...away from home and that includes a surveillance camera to keep the property secure and make the guests feel safe. The hotel is adjacent to the Bus stop, a stone throw to the train station, and few minutes walk to basic amenities like supermarkets, pharmacy, eatery, you name it. The hotel is perfectly located at the heart of the Town. If you are visiting Ireland, ditch the big cities, start with Ballyhaunis and check into JAMES LYONS B&B, you will thank me later. JUST WOW.!! The property is exactly as described, super clean, super comfortable, hot tub was amazing and Claire was an amazing host! There was snow on the ground the night before we were due to arrive and Claire very nicely asked us if we wanted to change to a different date as the roads were so bad but we went ahead and we were so glad we did! Ballyhaunis town was 12 mins away, closer than castlerea and we had a nice Chinese take away for anyone in the future staying in this property! The peace and tranquility is such a win and under 2hrs from Dublin it was perfect for our family reunion. Thank you Claire, we will 100% be back and we can honestly recommend anyone looking for a lovely house away from the world, book this house!! Keith

My partner and I absolutely loved our stay at the Sligo forest retreat. It was beautifully remote and so quiet/peaceful, just what we needed. Our dog had the best time exploring and we especially enjoyed our morning coffee with the hosts lovely dog - Winnie! The location is perfect, it has a stunning lake nearby for swimming. During our stay we visited Galway, Westport, Sligo town, Strandhill, Donegal, Leitrim all within 1.5 hours drive and it was wonderful to have a quiet place to come back to after a busy day. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, friendly and full of helpful recommendations. We hope to return!

A lovely stay! Hosts are very thoughtful and friendly, responding quickly and clearly, care big time for their guests.The tiny home well located in the town near everything. The space was cozy, modern, spotlessly clean, well-maintained and perfectly equipped to meet all needs. A great experience and surely will book it again.
