Nicely located on the side of a hill on the outskirts of town. Has a country club feel about it. Good reception and check in. Good service and staff. All on one level, spacious clean and welcoming .Comfortable attractive rooms. Small handy snack machine in hall. Attractive and comfortable dining and bar area inside. Also enjoy a meal or maybe a guiness or Irish whisky in the spacious forecourt taking in the sun in the afternoon with distant views beyond the Barrow River A very enjoyable breakfast in separate area inside. A short walk into town by the lower main road or up the slope at the end of hotel driveway and in to town past a small supermarket nice corner shop and along past the three bullet gate, town wall (road) and tower ruin, nice little pub opposite the park and on to the historic St Mays church and Abbey ruins and meander down into town and the wharf area.(most shops closed on Sunday)

We had problems with our ferry crossing which meant we did not arrive until early morning. Katie made sure we had breakfast and kept a room for us with a late checkout so we could get some sleep.

We loved the pool and jacuzzi, the grounds and the whole pleasant atmosphere and service from the friendly staff. Would have liked to stay longer - we’ll be back!

Absolutely everything. We were treated like royalty as soon as we walked in the door. The staff are first class. Alessandro in the Bar Room pours the best guiness and makes a mean old fashioned! The grounds are gorgeous, our room was beautiful and the food exceptional. We had to leave early on our last day and the kitchen made us a pack of food and a coffee for the car. Now that's going above and beyond. Thank you

Special request were fulfilled in advance, despite being kinda nonsensical. The staff got a good sense of humour and the breakfast was great!

Perfect location, staff were lovely. Chamber and reception staff were exceptional. Weekend staff in dining room were not as attentive as the week day staff who were excellent even though there were only two people on. Breakfast was just okay, adequate for our needs but half way through our stay we went off the fried food - there were plenty of choices but I would have preferred more fruit choices. Lovely swimming pool, sauna and steam room but spa wasnt working unfortunately. Close to Waterford and Tramore, lots of local restaurants, bars and shops within a short drive so we were very happy and would definitely return.
