Breath taking beauty, The serenity and the vibe is amazing. Very few places which have backwaters & lovely beaches. The architecture of the rooms and the whole vicinity is magnificent.

My wife and I are cycling in India. We had a fabulous stay at Gateway Bekal. We had a balcony room with a lovely view. Super clean and comfortable spacious room. Food at breakfast was excellent. Dinner buffet was excellent. A la carte menu is slightly expensive, but then it is the Taj group so we expect this. Staff everywhere were friendly, helpful and always professional, eager to please us, and responsive to every request we had - very impressive. The site is still being worked on - the spa, and bar are not working, and the Riverside walkway is not smooth. A short autorickshaw ride to Bekal Fort. Overall, a magnificent experience, which will be even better when the hotel is fully functional, and the extensive grounds have been nourished by one monsoon season.

Property belongs to Best location nearby Karnataka Kerala border. Surrounded by river. Best spot given for campfire . Pleasantful staff . Very cooperative to everyone. No shops nearby . Still food at restaurant is very good .

The young girl on reception Hanoodsheik had only been there 2 weeks and she worked really hard to make sure we had everything we wanted and answer all our questions, the mix up with our reservation was resolved. Large spacious room, nice balcony area with seating.

The healthy breakfast served here was not only nourishing but also the most delicious I've had in my travels so far. Nestled in the heart of a lush green forest next to a serene river stream, the setting was like something out of a fairy tale. It offered a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life, allowing me to truly connect with nature. The homestay's 165-year-old traditional Kerala housing was a true gem. The history and character of the place were evident in every corner, and the huge rooms with traditional Dravidian doors and ventilation provided a unique glimpse into the past. It felt like stepping back in time while still enjoying the comfort of modern amenities. One of the most memorable aspects of my stay was Ravichandra's thoughtful gesture of picking us up.
