This resort is designed in the traditional way keeping in mind the sustainability quotient.Entire resort runs completely on solar and offers 24/7 electricity.Cottages are heated and so are it's bathrooms . Cozy public areas with the heating helped us to enjoy the meals at utmost comfort.We had the best experience at this resort as all the staff was absolutely friendly and polite .We are thankful to Shabir who has been so kind and generous to make our stay most memorable. The Stone Herge Hotel in Hunder in the Nubra Valley is a wonderful place to relax. The staff are extremely friendly and always willing to help, making you feel special from the moment you arrive. The rooms are comfortable, clean and cosy, ensuring complete relaxation after a day spent in the mountains. The restaurant deserves special mention – the food is delicious and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The staff takes care of every detail, making every meal a real pleasure. The hotel and restaurant are located in the picturesque mountainous area of Hunder in the Nubra Valley, which means that a stay here is not only about comfort and tasty food, but also unforgettable views and a unique atmosphere. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for hospitality, comfort and natural beauty all in one.

Great stay great view from excellent staff

I booked one room for 2 nights but wasn't able to arrive until the second night. I arrived on the second night with friends who also wanted to book a room there. Instead of charging for the second room, they gave it to us for free in lieu of the first nights accommodation (2 rooms for 1 night instead of 1 room for 2 nights). I was very surprised by their generosity as it was my fault that I couldn't arrive the first night. The food was also incredible. Excellent quality and the quantity was insane. It's even more impressive when considering the remotness of the hotel. By far the best accommodation I stayed at during my entire holiday throughout India and Nepal. The customer service couldn't have been better.

Really nice staff, you can see that they try to create a different atmosphere, something more "cosy". The room and bathroom are really spacious. Bed are really confortable.
