For me, it was all about the location. It felt like being Robinson Crusoe, right on the beach, with the waves crashing on the sandy shore—a true privilege. This place is amazing. Its a little own oasis within beutiful small houses and a pool that is just stunning. The staff are soooo friendly and advice you in the right direction with the chioces for daytrips and backwater sightseeing. Honestly, the personalle seem to have very fun at thier jobs which also reflects in thier service. Also the bathroom in the hut without seaview is amazing. Loved it all!

Location and layout of the hotel, Looks great from photos, but quite Run down property and staff need more training on the hospitality side. Gym machine are all written and rusted, dont even bother going there. Swimming pool in a poor condition.

We had a wonderful stay at Kumarakom Wood Castle! The breakfast was by far the best we had during 2 weeks travelling through Kerala. The owner and his wife makes for a dynamic team who are professional and very helpful with arranging taxi's, House boat stays and interesting places to visit. The property is a beautiful traditional wooden Kerala house with many interesting features like an antique shop and an amazing museum on the top floor! This is a must visit. We arrived as strangers but left as friends. Thank you for giving us the best Kerala experience.
