Very friendly hotel staff. The reception was extraordinary. Wake up call for northern lights. The hotel location is a little remote and surrounding just vast land. This is the best for Aurora watching with surrounding area in total darkness. It is a very plus point in my opinion. If you are self driving, it is not a problem for this remoteness.

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge.

These cabins exceeded our expectation. The host met us on arrival and was friendly. He had thought of everything in the design of the cabins, and the outdoor showers were a nice touch. Very warm, comfortable beds and duvets, dark curtains and a peaceful environment. Would come back in a heartbeat.

We had an absolutely lovely two-night stay at this charming accommodation in Iceland. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how immaculately clean everything was - clearly a lot of care goes into maintaining this property. Our host Veronique was simply delightful and made us feel so welcome throughout our visit. She was incredibly helpful and friendly, which really enhanced our overall experience. The space itself was cozy and inviting, with a warm atmosphere that made it feel like a home away from home. We were pleased to find that the accommodation was very well-equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location worked perfectly for our Iceland adventure, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to rest after our days of exploring this beautiful country. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for clean, comfortable accommodation with exceptional hospitality. I have stayed at dozen of hotels in Iceland. This was on the top of the list of best stays/experiences ever. The cottage was super clean and had everything needed for our stay. Hopefully I will have a chance to visit it again :)

It was a beautiful cottage with a very well equipped kitchen. The open fields all around with roaming horses was a definite highlight of the property. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay during our drive around the Ring Road.
