Kast Guesthouse is a good place to stop for an overnight between scenic locations. They have a small eating place where breakfast and dinner is served. Dinner was limited to 3 options but it was fantastic options. Breakfast selection was also very good.

Without realizing it while booking we ended up in 'the fancy room' (according to the staff, but we agree). Very nice view of the coast and the glacier. Top breakfast and top buffet-style dinner (for a correct price). All home-cooked with local ingredients, which we really appreciated (some of the best food we had in Iceland). We saw the chef cleaning and filleting (big!) fish in front of the hotel, which was quite an experience. Very warmly recommended! p.s. The Snaefellsnes peninsula is so beautiful. It was definitely one of the highlights of our tour of Iceland, not to be missed!

The location is awesome right by the ocean and mountains The Black Church is also in walking distance. The building was very comfortable and the dinners were great. The breakfast was good.

We had very nice stay in this house, our children were very happy on the playground and large complex, where they could run the whole evening, also with great view on the Kirkjufell mountains and close to the sea. The house was very clean and comfortable. Thanks a lot for this paradise!

We stayed here while we visited the west of Iceland and the national park. The apartment was clean, beds were nice. Recently remodeled bathroom. Living area and kitchen were adequate. Nice to have laundry included, although we didn’t use it. Neighborhood was safe with a nice restaurant nearby.
