Exceptional location overlooking the fiords and the town. Very nice host who came over to check all was good as we arrived in the middle of a storm. And he also brought chocolate cookies as a welcome gift! I would definitely recommend this place. You can really see that this cottage is cured with love by the owner.

A spacious apartment that was a special treat for our family’s ring road adventure. Nice way to change up the usual hotel stay and this way we also did some laundry mid- week! The town is nice too though we didn’t have enough time to explore for to onward reservations.

This guesthouse is in a great location within this small but beautiful town, a short walk to everything you need (bars, restaurants, grocery shopping, etc). The room was a generous size, clean, with comfortable beds. The kitchen amenities were generous with plenty of space for cooking & storing our groceries. We definitely recommend this guesthouse.

A very affordable, well located guesthouse. Although the rooms are simply furnished, all main needed are provided. Hot water is great, heating is good and beds are comfortable. There is a shared kitchen which is ideal for do it yourself breakfast. Also, they have an EV charging unit right out near the front door and you can get a good overnight charge for your car.

40 km from Hengifoss in Egilsstadir, Finnstaðir offers accommodation with access to a hot tub and open-air bath.

Very well equipped hostel (washing machine,dryer,coffee machine with coffee 😍). Rooms small (but we were 5) but cosy! There are 2 bathrooms but we were never waiting to use one. The owners even invited us to the pool next door to make up for the lack of more showers. They just opened and really try to make everything perfect. We met the host- she was super nice. If it wouldn’t be so far away from us we would definitely come back. Keep going- you are doing a great job 🫶🏻
