The house’s view is truly as breathtaking as it appears in the photos. Our stay was completely hassle-free, and the house had everything we needed. We were able to reach the host at any time, which was wonderful. On our first evening, we arrived late and found that the small market in Nesso was closed, so we couldn’t buy drinking water. We contacted the host, and even though they weren’t in Nesso and it was quite late, they quickly solved the problem by leaving two large bottles of water at the front door. The next morning, we were supposed to check out, but we learned that heavy rain had caused a landslide on the Como road, and the roads were closed. Our host kept us regularly updated on the situation and, incredibly, offered us to stay at the house that night for free since we couldn’t reach Como. This was an extraordinary act of kindness and hospitality, and we want to sincerely thank them for their understanding and thoughtfulness. For those traveling by car, access is very convenient, with parking available right in front of the house.

Peter & Wietske's home has been meticulously renovated to preserve the architectural and artistic beauty of the past. It was an amazing place to stay. The thoughtful design of our room, which included a very lovely shower and vanity, which is modern but in keeping with the rest of the room. Our bed was very comfortable, I could have stayed in bed all day just watching the world pass by through the beautiful shuttered widows. Where the vista is of the other side of the valley and onto the mountains. Our private toilet was across from our room. This is a smart and functional feature of an older building as it maximises the space in a room. The breakfast is fantastic. We were spoilt for choice, and Pieter will whip up and omlete or eggs with bacon on request. Out in the garden in the afternoon with a drink from the bar was a great way to reflect on our day before a short walk up to the local tavern for dinner. The food and service were fantastic. Peter and Wietske are wonderful hosts and will ensure your stay at Villa il Maiale Bianco will be one you will want to repeat again. Because we definitely will.

Exceptional service and warm atmosphere – highly recommended! I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly polite, welcoming, and always ready to help. Their attentiveness made me feel truly cared for. The room was spotless — everything was exceptionally clean, neat, and very cozy. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom was immaculate, and every detail showed care and professionalism. A special highlight was the restaurant. Dinner was an absolute delight. I’d like to give special thanks to Maria, our waitress, who was simply amazing — kind, always smiling, and extremely courteous. She made every dinner feel like a special occasion. Overall, I was very impressed and truly enjoyed my stay. I would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, cleanliness, and genuinely great service.

Absolutely beautiful and cozy apartment very high up on the mountains overlooking the lake. Excellent view, great breakfast service in the morning, convenient and reasonably priced additional dinner service. The room had a fire place in it which we were able to use. Very secluded.

Such a memorable weekend, the staff were so hospitable and always went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay. The rooms were beautifully furnished and beds plush and comfortable. We stayed in the junior suite which had ample space complimented by views of the lake and lots of natural sunlight. The hotel's curated grounds and gardens meant that we were able to enjoy the sounds of birds and nature - it had a truly tranquil feel. Included breakfast was just divine with lots of fresh options. There were many water activities available such across the road, and the ferry dock was a 2 min walk away. We wish we stayed longer and can't wait to return - thank you for hosting us!
