The best stay in Maskeliya. If you are visiting Maskeliya don't even think of booking any other property. The rooms have a great lake and Adam's Peak view. You can spend endless time watching the lake. The staff is humble. Food was good and homemade, however price needs adjustment. Ample space for parking.

The place was immaculate, sparkling clean, very comfortable beds and soft bed linen. The manager Chandi went above and beyond to make our stay as perfect as possible. The place offers dinners, at very reasonable price, and these were actually the best dinners we've had in Sri Lanka. Not only were they very tasty but also the choice was just a bit wider and we were able to choose food that we were missing after being away from home for many weeks. The place offers an outdoor swimming pool and also a pool table free of charge. The views from the room are beautiful and garden is very well maintained. We found this place to be excellent value for money, we felt very well looked after and would recommend it to anyone planning on staying in Hatton

The Argyle is a truly stunning 5-star hotel in Sri Lanka. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, the hotel offers immaculate, comfortable beds and rooms, that are 100% clean, top-notch dining, excursions, a heated pool and a very nice spa. Every detail, from the relaxing spa treatments we got to the warm and dedicated staff, flawless service at the restaurant pool and everywhere else, created a perfect stay. Celebrating New Year’s Eve here was unforgettable. The team hosted a wonderful party that made us feel truly special with fantastic ambiance, food, fireworks and lanterns. What sets The Argyle apart is its exceptional staff. A heartfelt thanks to Vithugash who was just amazing and truly made our stay, Suren and Rushi for expertly organizing our trip to Adam’s Peak and onward travel, and our fantastic driver, Nishan. There are many more to thank.. We could not be more happy with our stay!

Amazing view, the staff friendy and very helpful and the room was large, clean and well appointed. The breakfast in the traditional kitchen was very cool. We wnt for a boat ride in the lake which was fun and relaxing. Overall, it was a very nice experience

Everything! I am a fussy person and stay in the best places .. this is up there with them all.. I’ve never felt so special … the staff were fantastic! The food amazing and the views OMG .. Lovely house surrounded by impressive garden with old, giant tree. Definitely one of our best dinners during the stay. Staff was very helpful. Plenty of extra activities offered by the place, but we didn't have time to try them.

    The pre-arrival communication was very good. Friendly owner who was very kind to cater to our needs including a tuk tuk ride to Gartmore falls. Excellent and delicious home made food which I'd say was the highlight. Good selection on the menu, and they prepared what we required in relatively short notice. Gave us the choice of making slight changes to set menus too which was appreciated as we were traveling with children.. Child friendly environment. Clean rooms including bathrooms. Spacious and comfortable beds. Hot water showers.

    The location is easily accessible from the main road and parking is available. The view is exceptionally beautiful. The family room we booked is spacious, clean and comfortable. We were warmly welcomed and host and the staff were friendly and helpfull and did the maximum to make our stay enjoyable.Surely they know what they are to do. Meals were delicious. The hospitality we received is best. Definitely worth the money spent. Would visit again.

    We stayed there 2 nights and it was lovely. Owners were such a cute family and always smiling to us. Owners mother cooks delicious food and brings to you with open heart. Room was good and cozy, with hot water and air conditioner. Hotels location was perfect, buses to Adam's Peak or Hatton was right in front of it. Also owner was really helpfull. Highly recomended!

    Good contact with the owner family, especially his daughter. good advices about hikes around. This place is mostly great to be in a quiet environment and also to hike (close from devon waterfalls and Pekoe trail section n°8)!

    Great location to discover the waterfalls in the area and Adam's peak. From Hatton it's easy to reach by bus (every 30 minutes). Nice family run guesthouse with basic rooms, good food, great view, everything you need. Great value for little money.
