The room was really nice and clean. The breakfast was great! Everything went well and easy with the hotel. We booked a room for 3 people and then we also booked the safari through the hotel and it was super smooth. We also got the breakfast after the safari very thankful for that. The location is a bit away from everything but for us that was not a problem.

Marvelous garden and cozy bungalows (a special touch is the private bathroom, which is in the open). The owners are a gorgeous young couple, extremely kind and attentive. Was a pleasure to have a chat with them. Here we also had one of the best dinner in Sri Lanka.

We had a fantastic stay at Hasthi Cottage! Dasun, his family, and the entire staff made us feel like part of their family with their warm hospitality and ever-smiling faces. The food was delicious, especially the chicken curry made from Dasun’s wife’s special recipe. Dasun also helped us arrange taxis at the same rates as the PickMe app, making transportation hassle-free. We booked the elephant safari through them as well and had a wonderful experience—our guide, Ishank, was incredibly humble and knowledgeable. Overall, the service here was among the best we’ve experienced in Sri Lanka. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

This had to be one of our favourite stays in Sri Lanka! The location is in a quiet area right on the river, perfect for relaxing but not too far away from the main town. While cooling off in the river you can enjoy the monkeys playing in the trees. The rooms were well maintained and the bed was very comfortable. The thing we will remember the most about this place is the family that runs the hotel. I have never experienced such amazing hospitality. They were incredibly kind and generous. The traditional meals they prepared were outstanding and very flavourful ! They were able to arrange a wonderful safari for us and provided us with transportation to the elephant transit centre. I cannot recommend this place enough and wish we were able to stay longer!

Truly beautiful property run by such a lovely, friendly family. The food they served for dinner and breakfast was probably the best we had during our 10 days tour around Sri Lanka., Rooms are huge, clean and well maintained, pool is really big and clean . . . We could not ask for more.
