We LOVED the Salty Dog Inn. What a wonderful surprise. Snells Beach is a hidden treasure even in the rain. I booked it for one night on our way from Rotorua to Paihia. I wish we had made this more than in interim stopover. The room was wonderful. The restaurant food delightful. The staff was excellent. And did I mention the great WIFI? You can not go wrong staying here!

We love the cabin house, the mezzanine floor with fairy light, the spacious kitchen & living area, peacefulness of the property. star gazing at night was amazing. Hajit & wife were very friendly. Lovely stay with two small kids at Kotare house. The hosts Alysn and Brian are super welcoming and we felt at home. The kids loved the garden and we enjoyed the spectacular views. Swimming in Anchor Bay nearby is just perfect.
