This place is perfect if you want a quiet location with Alttajärvi lake on one side and the woods and hill on the other side. We enjoyed the winter walks along the trails and walking on the lake! The location is perfect to spot northern lights and being close to IRF you can use the Aurora Alert on IRF Aurora App. Even when cloudy in Kiruna, Alttajärvi had clear sky with amazing star display of the milky way. Not much light pollution here!! Kiruna is only 15 mins away by car. The house has what you need for a few days. Washing machine has a 15min program and things dry easily over night on radiators or the clothes airer. Sheets and towels are provided. The fireplace is an extra plus! You can buy wood at petrol stations! Husky tours you will found everywhere! The mine is worth a visit! Northern light chase is for people without a car, you just need to step outside when nature decide to put on a display. Abisko has clearer nightsky so the probability to see it increases if you take yourself there.

Surrounded by mountain nature, the family-owned Camp Ripan .is a 10-minute car ride from Kiruna city centre.

The in-house breakfast buffet and the Aurora spa were really amazing. Do take out some time for the spa/sauna facilities to get that relaxation experience. Even the entry to the sauna is quite cool with the mini-waterfall effect. The rooms are well-equipped as well, and you can park your car right next to the door. We saw quite a few animals nearby (hares and deer), and there are good hiking paths and snow-show paths nearby. Wintersports are obviously a plus-point here.

Located a 10-minute drive from central Kiruna, this hotel offers free WiFi, regional cuisine and modern rooms with a flat-screen TV.

The staff were super friendly. The hotel was perfectly located between the old center and the new center. The room was amazing.

Very, very nice location to see the northern lights, just next to the lake, good facilities, warm and clean well equipped, nice activities just out of your door, cozy sauna with lake view.

Location is located in old town and very lovely place. Staff was so helpful and changed my room right away after I told her about the room she gave to me was not clean at all. Also, she transferred to a double room without any extra charges. Breakfast was normal. But good taste.
