It was a lovely experience for the whole family. The kids enjoyed the playground, rabbits and sheep. We were picking strawberrys in the morning and stayed at a charming small cabin over night.

Exceptionally well presented accommodation, with polite, helpful and unintrusive hosts. Very relaxing, picturesque and quiet location only 15-20 minutes drive from Motala.

This family-run motel is 5 km from Vikingstad Train Station and 15 km from Linköping. Guests enjoy free private parking during their stay.

Better than hotels, seriously! Very clean, comfortable, cozy, it has very friendly staff, and staying here is considerably cheaper also. We were afraid it might be loud as this property seemed close to a road, but in reality it was super quiet and there is a nice green view from the window - the rooms themselves are quite far from roads and they are quite soundproof. Location is also pretty nice, and dining facilities are also very comfortable. This deserves 6 stars out of 5, we are very pleased with our stay here. It also has EV chargers if it’s something for you, but I think you need to book a corresponding room.

Lovely historic setting. Fantastic location by lake Vättern. Beautiful room. Breakfast was very excellent and so was dinner at the restaurant. The spa that is situated close by was also very good.

Freja Vandrarhem is situated in Vreta Kloster and has barbecue facilities, communal gardens and patios. The guest house features shared lounges.

The hosts were really lovely and helping us a lot (even to drive us to the nearby towns if the buses were rare). The location is good to explore Vadstena, Motala and other towns nearby - the area of lake Vättern is amazing. It's really calm and indeed cozy.
