What can we say about Mahi Mahi? We will never forget the four beautiful days and nights we spent there. Perfect, peaceful location, away from the crowds. Near the village, where you can go around exploring on foot (do it & support the local community!!) Stunning view of the ocean, delicious food, abundant breakfast and very good choices for lunch or dinner - prices of the restaurant more expensive than what you find in local restaurants nearby but still quite affordable. All of the dishes delicious - congratulations to the chef, who btw took the time to come and meet us :) I tried the "chef's special" everyday during breakfast :). Clean, spacious rooms, you wake up and sleep hearing the sound of the sea. Now THAT is a memory to hold on to during winter. Amazing service - thank you Sifa, Skola (special thanks for the on-the-go Swahili lessons to my wife) Justin, Ilias, and I'm SO sorry I forget the names of all the other nice people that made our stay so wonderful, we thank you all! Villa Juliana is a little gem and was perfect for us after a 10 day safari in Tanzania. The location is amazing, right on a beautiful beach, the room was spacious and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We could not have asked for more. They went out of their way to make our stay a happy one and always had a big smile. Another lovely aspect was that the manager let us have the room until late at no additional cost, as we had a night flight. This was hugely appreciated and made our 42 hour travel back to NZ so much easier. Our only upset with Villa Juliana was that we had to leave! We would have liked to stay longer :-)

The hotel is run by an Italian family. Paola has created a piece of Europe in the middle of the exotic African jungle. We found European standards of quality and comfort and the warmth of Italian hospitality. Beautiful surroundings, small cozy houses nestled among blooming African trees, bushes, and flowers. The hotel is close to the main road, which is very convenient for traveling, yet we had a sense of complete privacy and seclusion. The hotel isn’t located directly on the beach, but it’s only a five-minute walk away. Within the hotel grounds, there are even two big swimming pools, with a nicely arranged relaxation area, so you can enjoy the sun and water without leaving the property. We stayed in a very comfortable, spacious house with air conditioning. There were some water and spices for cooking waiting for us upon arrival. The continental breakfast was great. The best experience, however, was Paola - the very special hostess of the place. She personally handled every single issue, answered all our questions, and gave us the most valuable advice on restaurants and services in nearby towns. She also shared her favorite places in Stone Town, which we gladly visited and truly appreciated. All the staff members were very helpful, offering advice on getting around and making the most of our stay. The hotel is in a great location. You can easily walk to Paje along the beach. There’s a large sandbank with very easy access, just a short distance from the hotel to the north - you simply can’t miss it. It’s an amazing place for all kinds of enjoyment. And just to the south, there’s the very special town of Jambiani - full of friendly people and interesting activities. A very genuine vibe of local life. At this hotel, we were able to unwind after a rather thrilling and exciting journey. It felt like European home with all the beauty and pleasures of Africa. The biggest thank you to Paola.

A beautiful place second time staying here! Truly relaxing stay in a lovely area. We loved the food and drinks available and the pool area is perfect, just a few steps away from the rooms. The best thing about this place is the staff, they are so accomadating, friendly with positive energy. Monica as always you are a ray of sunshine and thanks so much to Mary who took us to see the local school upon request. Thanks also to Elizabeth for showing us round and being so friendly and all the bar staff who made our favourite drinks! Nothing is too much to ask and the organisation of excursions was great. We loved this place. Beautiful gardens, two pools so naturally one attracts the adults that want to relax and one families with kids. Hosts and all the staff super friendly. Spacious apartments with kitchen, lovely breakfast, short walk to the beach. You get some free water at the start and then just 5€ for big bottle so you never have to worry about water and plastic waste which was otherwise bit of an issue for rest of our Zanzibar trip. We had great time and would definitely come back.

It’s a good hotel for children and families. They have a Safari sister hotel in the Selous national park which was why we stayed there and that was FANTASTIC! The hotel in the national park is basic but clean and comfortable with a swimming pool, LOVELY staff and good food! The park and staff for the Safari were brilliant!

the kids loved the pool. Nice and friendly staff. very quiet at the hotel which we loved. The beach is litteraly right outside of the hotel. Restaurant at the hotel was okay. i would recommend this hotel for familys with children or if you need a place where you can retract and relax.

We really enjoyed our holidays in this charming hôtel. We were 2 families with teenagers. The hôtel is well located close to thé beach end village small and quiet with 2 swimming pool , very good for thé Price. Paula the owner is very Nice and advised us very well for all ! We strongly recommand !
