LOVED my time at Tamu Tamu hotel in Zanzibar. The location right next to Pwani Mchangani on the eastern coast was perfect - super quiet with not too many tourists and a nice village with a few restaurants nearby. We really preferred it to hectic Stone Town and touristy Nungwi Beach for example. The rooms were beautiful and clean, we really appreciated the attention room service put into making sure everything was neat when we got back from a daytrip. The pool area was beautiful too, we could have easily spent a whole week just lounging there. The food at the restaurant was great too, the breakfasts were copious with many options to choose from and the urojo (a local soup they made for us upon demand) was the most delicious thing I tasted on my trip to Tanzania. They also have a nice menu of snacks to enjoy poolside and a fantastic happy hour deal with very good cocktails. Finally, the staff, absolutely lovely, super helpful and always around in case we needed anything. I appreciated their help with transportation around the island and booking activities, like a spice tour and visit to Stone Town. Honestly for the price, this place is unbeatable. It's a boutique hotel where you're afforded more attention than in the 3 times more expensive large resorts more north. Thank you Tamu Tamu for a fantastic stay!

Amazing location, right on the beach. Large sea-facing room on 1st floor has the most spectacular terrace we’ve seen - around 30 m2 overlooking the beach, with water few meters from the hotel. Room and the terrace occupies entire front of the building, so guests enjoy total privacy.

This house is one of the cleanest place I have ever been. The stuff were super kind and helpful. They were always around when you need. The house looks exactly what I it is on the picture. Everything about Moyo was perfect! We are a family of 4, with 2 children ages 9 and 12. We spent 7 nights at Moyo for New Year's 2023/2024. We booked a 2 bedroom apartament. It is very cosy and comfortable and shows much of the local tradition. All the furniture and the setting is charming and you can find signs of the local style throughout the apartament, even a traditional style door converted to a living room table. The swimming pool and outdoor area are beautiful and very well taken care of. The pool was cleaned every day and so was the entire apartament, spotless every day. The biggest surprise was the breakfast, served every morning on the terrace. Pancakes and fresh fruit every morning, an absolute Dream. The location is right on the beach. A beautiful White Sandy beach also cleaned and combed every day. The tide is quite intense but that was not a problem since we had the pool also. And the scenery at low tide is beautiful. We Walked a lot up and down the beach and could not find a nicer place. We had lunch and dinner either on the beach at one of the 3 nearby restaurants or we ordered food at the apartament. They all served good food but our favourite was Mzuri, a local restaurant where we ordered food from. Sonia, our host was so helpful And nice about anything we needed and all the day trips and half day trips that they organized for us were perfect, with the help of the local manager, Dan. He even drove my husband to the market when we needed to buy snacks and water for ourselves. It really was the perfect place for our holiday and we couldn't have asked for more. Safety was never an issue, we left all our things in the apartament with the door always open and had no problems. Elizabeth from the massage shop was amazing as well. So thank you again Sonia for a great holiday! What a dream it was and how lucky we were to find your place! We highly recommed it if you are looking for a quiet vacation in the heart of the local community!
