The manor house is absolutely beautiful, and it was obvious that no costs were spared in the design of the interior. Rooms are very spacious and well-appointed with most rooms featuring luxurious ensuite bathrooms. There are many different seating areas throughout the house that can be closed off to spend time in privacy. The indoor BBQ (braai) area is spacious and has a huge floor to ceiling glass sliding door that opens up to the large lawn with swimming pool. It was great to spend the early morning on the covered, wind-sheltered veranda (stoep), looking over the adjacent vineyards. The kind domestic staff were very discreet and unobtrusive and made the beds and cleaned the kitchen without us even knowing they were there. Very close to Stellenbosch and Franschhoek and the range of tourist facilities in the area. I would highly recommend a stay at Mount Vernon Manor and predict that once this "newcomer" is discovered it would become increasingly difficult to find availability at such an exceptional property.

My friends and I really enjoyed to stay with Lola! She is very kind and caring. Cozy two bedroom house at the winery was prepared for us. The house has its own terrace and everything you need inside. One of bedrooms has large window and its own entrance. Wine was very tasty! We are grateful for your hospitality. We wish to hosts the best and most careful guests! P.S.: We really wanted to stay longer in this beautiful place, but we had grandiose travel plans ahead :)

OMG what an absolute amazing vineyard! 🥂 This place is a MUST visit! It is so beautiful with it’s plantations, old houses and great history! Of course the vine is also super good 💫 You definitely need to go here for a lunch/vine tasting if you are in the area! We also stayed in there guest lodge for a night and that was one of the best experiences of our trip! ❤️ We highly recommend this place!
