I loved the open air hut and the personal fan made sure I didn't get hot. The showers were cool and refreshing after a long day surfing in the sun. The staff were the absolute nicest ever. I asked my daughter if she'd have rather stayed at the big million dollar property in the beach front and she said "no way, the vibe and staff at Casa Austera is the best in Guatemala"

All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful- we enjoyed conversations with them, they lent us a woven mat for the beach, and overall were very helpful! We had good drinks at the bar several times. Also enjoyed the free coffee in the morning.

Best spot is a loft with hammocks above the room with a view of the beach. Staff were very helpful, this was our favorite place to stay.
