Located within 500 metres of Grattan Beach and 2.1 km of St. Nicholas Collegiate Church, Shoreline Apartments offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Galway. With sea views, this accommodation features a patio. The apartment also provides free WiFi, free private parking and facilities for disabled guests. The apartment was spotlessly clean, warm, comfortable, well appointed and modern. Everything you need was available, washing machine, dishwasher, hair dryer, fridge, iron etc etc . The location was good for us - we were a family of 5 adults and we liked the walk along side the coastline and past the golf club on Salthill Promenade . We also walked to the city which was an approx 35 minute walk but we like to walk so it suited us but the walk to the city may be too much for a family with young children so a car would be useful. There are also taxi’s/ubers available which we used one time as we were going out to dinner. Uber was quick and easy. If you don’t want to go into the city - which would be a shame if you didn’t - there are lots of bars, pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants on the street behind the apartment and 5 mins walk away. But I would recommend a visit to the city as we visited the cathedral which was beautiful and the Spanish arch. We also did a tour of some of the well known pubs such as Garavans which was recommended to us. And some of our party took a dip in the sea off the platform on Salthill Promnede! We loved Galway and would definitely go back.

Offering sea views, Old Irish farmhouse is an accommodation set in Dingle, 15 km from Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium and less than 1 km from Slea Head. Both free WiFi and parking on-site are accessible at the farm stay free of charge. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Glad we booked an extra night. It gave us time to explore some of the peninsula, so we were there two nights. Met some nice people from Europe who were visiting Ireland too. The kitchen was well stocked and available to use after breakfast hours if needed. No TV whatsoever but we were ok with that and enjoyed the break. It wasn't far to Dingle, the Blasket Heritage/informational center, Dunsmore Head and Inch Beach. Live music was fun in town but we were told the town closed up on Sunday night so were glad we didn't make the drive into town that night. There was good music at the Dingle Pub on a Monday night and the sunrises were fabulous from our second floor room. We would definitely recommend this place!

Breakfast is available, and includes continental, Full English/Irish and American options. A restaurant can be found at the property, offering a child-friendly buffet. Greg and Barbara were excellent hosts, the room was fully equipped and the breakfast at 15 Euros each was plentiful and delicious. Zoe's bistro and accommodation was only a short distance from Vandelleur Walled Gardens were we had planned to do parkrun and we couldn't have chosen a better place to stay. Everyone we spoke to in Kilrush and along the coast all said Zoe's was a hidden gem and they all agreed how fantastic the food is too.

Set in Doolin and only 12 km from Cliffs of Moher, Coastal View House offers accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. The property features mountain and garden views, and is 1.2 km from Doolin Cave. The guest house has family rooms. We had a great time at the Coatl View House. Martin is a very kind host. The apartment was perfect – it had everything we needed. In the morning, we enjoyed a beautiful view with sheep and a pony grazing in the fields in front of the house. Martin also recommended a wonderful place for dinner with live music. I’ve visited several cities in Ireland, and I believe the Doolin and the place we stayed were the most authentic and comfortable. If I have the chance to visit Ireland again, I will definitely stay there.
