I can't say anything about the Gesthouse because one day before our arrival we were moved and upgraded for free to the other place which belongs to the same owners (Volcano House). And the Volcano House was just amazing, perfect, fantastic! Huge house (4 separate bedrooms, huge living room with the kitchen, private garden, private terrace, 2 bathrooms etc.), equipped with everything what's needed, very good wifi, private parking, in the center of Grindavik. It was really great and we didn't expected that! All that time communication with the owners was even more than perfect! Totally recommend that place!

A toaster and coffee machine are also available. There is a private bathroom with a bath or shower and a hairdryer in every unit. That there were two bathrooms as we were 6 people staying. Also the fact that the hostess came over several times asking if me needed something or fresh towels, as we were prepared to use the same towels during the whole stay.

The guest house has family rooms. A very nice and cosy place, it's not very big but it's comfortable and the floor heating was keeping it nicely warm. We didn't meet with the hosts but the communication was fast and the check-in & check-out process was smooth. There was everything we needed for a comfortable stay, the address was easy to find, close to the airport and some nice tourist spots. We've chosen this location, as there was a higher possibility to observe the Northern Lights, even if the activity is low and surely enough, we managed to see them through the window. The Gardur Lighthouse is also within walking distance, which is also a good spot for Aurora, so it was quite convenient. Also, the beds were really soft and comfortable and we had a goodnight sleep.

Convenient, comfortable, plenty of space everywhere, 2 large bedrooms plus kitchen/dining/seating; lovely kitchen, nice bathroom, coffee machine with coffee provided, large comfy beds, lots of windows, easy access, off-street parking outside (and on-street if you need more). Don't let the outside put you off, it's one of the nicest Icelandic places we stayed in.

Self check-in was super easy — the hosts were very accommodating and allowed me to check-in early since no guests had stayed the night before. The instructions were clear, everything was spotless, temperature control was simple with the radiators, and the apartment was well-stocked with kitchen equipment, a washer and dryer — all the conveniences that are often costly or unavailable in hotels.
